On the contrary, I’m not that old (still in my 30′s) and was smart enough to walk away from all of that stupidity and go back to college to obtain my Master’s Degree in Education and work with children ….who actually have some hope. Most of us who were promoters back in that time period, the 90′s, (as kids who were eager to learn the business and contribute) realized how ridiculous the business model they were perpetuating was, in the house scene, so we all changed careers and moved on. It’s sad because the music being created was pretty good, but the egos got in the way of good business sense. Their loss. We are all doing well and have been enjoying the scene from a far. I help out friends when I can and I still really love the music and wish it was flourishing.
